JHJ Talent Show – Mia Katrin

Mia Katrin – Owner/Designer, Jewel Couture, LLC

The award-winning collections of JHJ member & jewelry designer Mia Katrin for JEWEL COUTURE LLC are featured in over 100 top stores in the United States.  Mia, who has a doctorate in aesthetics from the University of Chicago, has traveled around the world collecting world-class precious gems, from Colombian emeralds to Tahitian pearls.

Mia’s fascination with the beauty of gems inspires her designs. The newest Dream Collection is being featured regularly in all the top magazines such as JCK, InStore, Retail Jeweler and Southern Jewelry News. The beautiful 18 karat gold pieces with custom cut gems and diamond accents are dreamy in fashion forward yet classic styles. Originality and distinction in design are a must for Mia, who loves the richness of pure gold and enjoys working with it.

Mia has a passion for creating extraordinary, one of a kind  pieces. Her designs were originally featured in art galleries, and museums such as the Knoxville Museum of Art showcase her work.

2019 will see Mia exhibiting at many of the big, national trade shows, including AGTA, JCK Vegas, JANY and the Select Shows.  Mia will also be moderating panels for both the 2019 AGTA GemFair and the AGS Conclave on “Selling Superstar Stories: Inside the Designer’s Mind.”

In addition to her exhibition schedule, Mia will be working on a new collection for 2019 featuring Panjshir emeralds.  Panjshir emeralds display a deep, rich vibrant green color high in saturation due to large chromium deposits near the Panjshir emerald mines.  This makes Panjshir emeralds one of Afghanistan’s most-iconic treasures.

Connect with Mia on JHJ to schedule a trunk show, preview her any of her stunning designer collections, or to learn more about her Panjshir emerald designs, debuting in 2019.
